I’ve been bitten more than once in the last few months when I’ve upgraded my WordPress installation. I need to make sure that any update doesn’t break the blog. Here on Running in Flip Flops it’s not too terribly important, but on Fat 2 Fit Radio, it’s of utmost importance. Therefore you get his post.

The song is from a band called Alva Star and the song is called Unhappily Yours.

WordPress and Podpress: Another Fix

A couple weeks ago I posted about Podpress being broken when I upgraded my blogs to WordPress 2.6. The fix was disabling the new feature that allows tracking changes to posts. Well I came across another fix today that might just work as well AND allow me to track changes to posts. I don’t know that I even want to track changes to posts, but the idea of disabling rather than fixing bugs, bugs me.

So here’s a sweet little number by Zak Schaffer to check out if the fix works. (Fingers crossed.)

Podpress Problems?

I read on the Twitter that Podpress and WordPress 2.6 were having some problems. I tried it out here on Running in Flip Flops before I upgraded the Fat 2 Fit Radio site and all seemed well. I’m publishing this really as a test. The song, enclosed as a podcast, is from Geoff Smith’s new album One’s and 0′s.

Update: Oh shit! It didn’t work and fix is not expected for 10 days. It might be in time for the next Fat 2 Fit Radio coming out next Thursday? Shit!

Update: Posting a link to an audio file in WordPress 2.6 downloads as a podcast in iTunes. Looks like the Fat 2 Fit Radio will go out as scheduled. Disaster averted.

Update 8-13-08: The problem with Podpress has a temporary fix. Add the following code to the wp-config.php file in the root directory of your WordPress installation:
