So, I’m having a procedure. A cyst is being removed from my back around 7:30pm tonight. It should go quickly.
But I can’t help but be reminded of the movie “City Slickers” with Billy Crystal. In that movie he described what a typical male life is like and included this very moment. It went something like, and correct me if I’m wrong, “In your thirties you’ll raise your children and have an operation. You’ll call it a procedure, but it’s an operation.”. That whole speech hit a little too close to home. Especially as I’m sitting here in the lobby waiting to be admitted for my own “procedure”.
Wish me luck! Say a prayer for me and the doctor!
